Fraud Alert

Employment Scams

Emerald Contracting MKE has been made aware of fraudulent activity involving individuals impersonating our company through fake job postings, emails, and social media messages. These scams are often designed to appear legitimate and may offer immediate employment, high pay, or remote job opportunities. Scammers may ask you to provide sensitive personal information such as your Social Security number, bank account details, or request payment for equipment, training, or background checks.

Please note: Emerald Contracting MKE does not extend job offers without a proper hiring process, which includes an application, a formal interview (typically face-to-face or via verified company channels), and a thorough review by our hiring team. We never request money from job candidates for any reason during the hiring process.

If you have received an unsolicited job offer or been asked to send personal information or payments from someone claiming to represent our company—and you have not completed a formal interview—it is likely fraudulent and should be ignored. We encourage you to report any such incidents to us directly.

Payment Instructions

We are aware of fraudulent efforts by third parties attempting to intercept or redirect legitimate project or vendor payments by impersonating Emerald Contracting MKE staff. These scams often involve forged emails, altered invoices, or text messages requesting that clients or subcontractors change payment routing information.

To protect yourself:

Only follow payment instructions that come directly from a verified Emerald Contracting representative. If you receive any unexpected or suspicious message requesting a change in payment method or bank account details, do not act on it until you’ve confirmed the request by speaking with someone you personally know at our company using our official contact information.

We will never change payment instructions without formal written notice, and we will never pressure you to act urgently or outside of our standard communication methods.

Charitable Organizations

Emerald Contracting MKE has also received reports of scammers reaching out to charitable and nonprofit organizations while posing as our company. These impersonators may offer to make large donations and ask for banking information under the false pretense of transferring funds or supporting a cause.

Please be advised that we never request personal or financial information from organizations unless we are already in contact through official company representatives. All charitable giving or community outreach is coordinated directly by our leadership team or designated outreach staff.

If you are contacted unexpectedly by someone claiming to be from Emerald Contracting and requesting donation-related information, do not provide any details. Contact us immediately to verify the legitimacy of the communication.

Report Suspicious Activity

If you have received a suspicious message, job offer, or payment request that claims to be from Emerald Contracting MKE, we urge you to report it to us right away. Your report helps us protect others from similar attacks and take appropriate steps.

We are committed to maintaining transparency, safety, and trust in all of our communications. Thank you for helping us prevent fraud and protect our team, clients, and community.
